Gears of War: Judgment review


While there have been refinements, the core Gears machinery whirs on through another solid singleplayer campaign. More has been altered in the game's multiplayer component, but it's finally a case of diminishing returns for the cornerstone franchise.

The same old enjoyable Gears gunplay is present and accounted for. Point defence missions and the declassified system help add variety to campaign. There is no sign of a gloomy Marcus Fenix trying to get in touch with his feelings. Overrun is a great...

It's the same old Gears of War gunplay that we’ve seen a lot of already. There isn't really a lot of innovation or many new elements on show. The popular Horde and Beast modes have been excised completely.
