iRobot Roomba 880

The Roomba 880 is one of the more advanced robot cleaners from the pioneers at iRobot. I first tested a Roomba almost a decade ago and while things haven't changed much cosmetically, lots has changed on the inside. The Roomba 880 offers learning and...

iRobot Roomba 880 review

While there's no denying that this vacuum does a great job at cleaning floors, we're just not convinced that the extra features it boasts make it worth the exorbitant pricetag.

iRobot Roomba 880 review

Much like Dyson brand vacuums, I had heard my fair share of iRobot hype before I began testing the Roomba 880. I even had visions of following in Tom Haverford's footsteps and building a "DJ Roomba" of my very own . Sadly, my dreams of channeling...

The iRobot Roomba 880 replaces its predecessor's bristly brushes with rubbery "extractors" as part of the new AeroForce cleaning system. This brushless technology removes debris better than previous iterations and keeps maintenance to a minimum.

The bin is supposedly larger than in previous Roomba models, but it still fills up too quickly when you're dealing with dust and shedding pets. That, and it costs $699.

The Roomba 880 is the most well-rounded, capable bot we've encountered so far, but the $449 Neato Robotics XV Signature Pro still wins the pet hair performance test on all flooring surfaces.

iRobot Roomba 880

The iRobot Roomba 880 is a powerful upgrade over the Roomba 790, but even though it sucks (dirt up) more it's basically the same robotic vacuum.

Powerful vacuum for its size. Can be controlled and scheduled to fit your needs. Brushless design helps prevent tangles.

Very expensive. Complicated home layouts require planning and accessories, or watching the vacuum and controlling it manually.

The iRobot Roomba 880 can vacuum with gusto and has plenty of useful features, but whether it's worth upgrading over the 790 isn't as clear. If you have pets that shed, the new brushless system might be worth it. It's still incredibly expensive for a...

iRobot Roomba 880 review: Cleans, so you don't have to

Robot vacuum cleaners, such as the iRobot Roomba 880, are interesting little gadgets. They are far from cheap, costing the best part of £500, but for that mighty lump of cash they take one of the worst household chores off your hands. The iRobot Roomba...

Nice design, great cleaning ability, good battery life, easy scheduling, simple to operate, Virtual Wall accessories

Expensive, can't manage higher pile rugs, doesn't always detect objects, noisy, presence of Virtual Wall accessories

The iRobot Roomba 880 is a great looking and great performing robot vacuum cleaner. It does exactly what it sets out to do, offering good suction, great cleaning power and a decent battery life to keep your floors spic and span.

Irobot Roomba 880 review

  (Rating Hidden)

The Roomba 880 is the top-of-the-range robot vacuum cleaner from iRobot. At £600, it's more expensive than any Best Buy conventional vacuum cleaner that we've tested, but iRobot does claim that you can put your feet up with while this machine does all...

iRobot Roomba 880 - Helpful Robot Cleaner

The Roomba 880 is iRobot's latest robotic vacuum cleaner. It features the Aeroforce Performance Cleaning System as well as Aeroforce cleaning extractors, which iRobot claims to be tangle-free. We spent some time with it to see if it can really help...

Excellent navigation ; Tangle-resistant extractors and sweeping brush ; Good suction performance ; Two Virtual Wall Lighthouse devices

Pricey ; Inelegant dustbin release mechanism ; Only one sweeping brush ; A tad noisy

Unfortunately, the convenience that the Roomba 880 offers comes at a high price,

iRobot Roomba 880 Vacuum Cleaning Robot

The iRobot Roomba 880 is a powerful upgrade over the Roomba 790, but even though it sucks (dirt up) more it's basically the same robotic vacuum.

The Roomba 880 sports a new brushless intake that, according to iRobot, prevents tangles from occuring when vacuuming and increases the vacuum’s suction. iRobot claims the Roomba 880 can remove 50 percent more dirt, hold 60 percent more dirt in its...

You want a clean home? Sure, who doesn't. Too lazy to clean it yourself? Absolutely. iRobot's Roomba 880 — the latest in its series of robot vacuum cleaners — was made for you. It's the Rolls-Royce of highly motivated cleaning appliances, and it can...

Yes. The Roomba is like a maid, but it’s a better investment. Don’t like to clean? Buy this Roomba. Are you busy? Buy this Roomba. Have pets? Buy this Roomba. The only downside is the price. This Roomba is $US700, however, it is the top-of-the-line,...
