Samsung UN40EH6000

Since Samsung itself widely introduced edge-lit LED TVs in 2009 , the phrase "LED TV" has meant "thinner" to the majority of TV shoppers. This year Samsung and other TV makers are marketing LED TVs that are just as chunky as the non-LED-based LCD TVs...

The Samsung UNEH6000 series costs less than some other TVs that use LED backlights. Its color accuracy, video processing, and bright-room picture are very good, and it has better screen uniformity than many edge-lit LED models. I liked the thin frame...

Lighter black levels hamper the EH6000's picture quality compared with many TVs, including less expensive models. Its connectivity suite is anemic with just two HDMI inputs, and at this price numerous TVs offer apps and Smart TV functions that this...

Although it's cheaper than Samsung's ultrathin edge-lit models, the EH6000 series's value proposition is hurt by mediocre picture quality.

Samsung UN40EH6000

The UN40EH6000 ($779.99 MSRP) is a basic television from Samsung's 2012 line. Unlike most of the larger Samsung televisions we will see this year, the 6000 series has no internet features, 3D images, or smart control functions like voice and motion...

Excellent black and white detail ; Decent color accuracy ; Sleek design

Very limited connectivity

This Samsung will probably be one of the only televisions in the 2012 line without smart controls, internet connectivity, or 3D images. The UN40EH6000 ($779.99 MSRP) is a television you can take home, plug in, and enjoy right away. There are probably...

At just S$1,099, this 40-inch LED TV is an affordably priced panel with a fast 100Hz refresh rate. But is there a catch somewhere?

In my quest to find good-performing flat panels under $1000, I was eager to try the Samsung UN40EH6000. The company's entry-level EH-series LED-LCD TVs are available in several lines, of which the EH6000 is top of the heap, and each line includes...

Samsung UN40EH6000 Review – 40-inch LED LCD HDTV

The 40-inch LED TV set is launched by Samsung to target the growing demand for second or backup TV sets. It comes with an affordable price-tag, but without some of the features offered by the higher end models launched by the manufacturer. Along with...

Samsung has also designed the UN40EH6000 without including any wired or wireless networking and internet access feature. But a viewer can use the input ports and terminals offered by the device to access his offline collection of movies, music, videos,...

The Samsung 6000 series is compatible with Samsung's app store, which offers hundreds of apps and an integrated search feature. The apps appear on your internet-connected TV the same way they would on your computer. Since you can include the Samsung...

You can use the same Anynet+ remote to control all DLNA-certified Samsung products

You can't have more than one window open like you can on a computer, but the apps look like they would on a computer

More than just an internet connected TV. It's a smart TV in the truest sense.

"Highly Disappointed in Samsung"

Bottom line is I'm highly disappointed in Samsung. I have a 32 inch lcd 60hz by Samsung that I've had for 3 years, & it has a so-so picture so I decided it was time to upgrade. Seeing that this is LED and 120hz, I just KNEW that this television was...

Couldn't find any.

The colors are washed out & there's absolutely no way to fix it. This tv has loads of settings in the menu, but the catch is that they really don't change the picture. It's almost as if they're there to fool you. The picture is also fuzzy.

"Everything I Expected After Much Comparison Shopping!"

I decided on this Samsung 40" (UN40EH6000) after a considerable amount of time checking out all competing models at local retail locations. For me personally there simply wasn't any other brand of LED that had a consistently great image quality at...
